Community

Who we are

The corridor only works when people use it. Our community includes artists, writers, curators, and organisations who believe in a more connected creative sector. We’re not a membership club with tiers and fees—we’re a collaborative network that grows through participation. You might join an open call, contribute to an insight, attend a workshop, or simply stay in touch. All of that counts.

Community impact

We don’t measure impact by vanity metrics. We care about lasting relationships, quality of output, and whether what we do actually helps someone take the next step. That might mean a residency that leads to new work, a connection that turns into a collaboration, or an essay that sparks a conversation. The impact is in the corridor itself: the fact that people and ideas keep moving through it.

If you’re curious about joining or partnering, the best way to start is to get in touch. Tell us what you do and what you’re interested in. We’ll point you to the right projects or insights, and we’ll keep you in the loop when we run open calls or events.

How to get involved

Open calls — We announce residencies, editions, and collaborations via the main Corridor8 site and our own channels. Follow along or contact us to be added to the list.

Workshops and meet-ups — We run occasional workshops and informal meet-ups, online and in person. Themes tie into our projects and insights: creative corridor practice, digital movement, place and identity.

Contribute — Have an idea for an essay, a project, or a partnership? We’re open to pitches. See Insights for the kind of thing we publish and Contact to reach us.

Whether you’re based in the North or elsewhere in the UK—or further afield but aligned with what we do—the corridor is open. Back to home · About · Contact
